Special Thanks…
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Pat Russell of Farmerville, one of our volunteers who shares of her time to act as “receptionist” for the TRIAD Office on Wednesday mornings, for her help with the TRIAD booth at the Tick Creek Festival in Haile on October 11.
We were able to sell a few more TRIAD cookbooks, hand out literature and “freebees” to the senior citizens and give away Union Parish Sheriff’s Office “Junior Badges” to the kids.
Most of all, we enjoyed visiting with each other and those who came by to share special events of recent days. You couldn’t have asked for a better day!
Again, thanks-Miss Pat…

Junction City/Lillie/Spearsville TRIAD Meeting October, 2008
Junction City, Lillie and Spearsville TRIAD was called to order at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, with prayer by our Coordinator Susan Edwards.
Prayer requests submitted were for the Bruce Hampton Family and Betty Hlafaty.
The September minutes were read and the financial report given.
Susan reported on all activities going on and explained the financial statement. The TRIAD Office has been very busy with the Outreach Program, monthly Newsletter, food boxes and visitations by Bro. David Martin. Applications are still being taken for the food bank program. (This program was discontinued by the Food Bank of Monroe on Friday, October 17.)
Make-A-Difference Day will be October 24, 2008, and our TRIAD Chapter will serve and entertain residents of Bernice Nursing and Rehab. We will furnish the cakes and punch and the TRIAD Office will furnish the ice-cream.
The Christmas Party will be held December 5, 2008 at the Claiborne Electric Building. There will be a traditional meal with TRIAD furnishing turkey and members will bring various dishes to compliment the turkey. Entertainment will be by Charles Martindale who will give a program on duck calls.
Harold Albritton held the drawing for the quilt which was won by Melvin of Melvin’s Pharmacy in El Dorado. Harold collected $189.00 from the sale of the raffle tickets.
