THERE WILL BE NO MORE 5th WEEK - END VISITATION
VISITATION RULES Visitors must be on the current Approved Visitation List, and present a visitation approval letter signed by the Visitation Officer for entrance to the compound. A. Visitors over 15 years old must have a photo ID. B. Visitors must register with the Visitation Officer upon entering the Compound. C. Visitors will leave all personal articles such as jewelry, watches, billfolds, hand bags, hats, etc. in their cars. *Wedding rings, car keys, ID, and approval letter permitted. D. Visitors will be searched by Staff members. E. Visitors will not pass or receive any article from an inmate. F. Visitors will dress properly. The following are NOT allowed: No Halter or tank tops, NO see-through blouses, No sleeveless tops or undershirts worn as outer garment, NO short-shorts, No hot pants, No cut--offs, No miniskirts, No low cut dresses, NO bandannas, No scarves, or No gloves. No open Toe Shoes, No Stretch Pants, NO Tight fitting Clothing, No Low Cut Blouses Individuals improperly or inappropriately dressed may be refused permission to visit. G. All visitors must wear closed in shoes. Female visitors must wear bras. No physical contact will be allowed. Any visitor that displays any overt sexual behavior will have his or her visit terminated for that day. Following this the inmate will visit non contact for six-months. After these six months, a review board will assemble to determine if the inmate can resume contact visiting. H. Children must remain in the company of parent or guardian at all times. 1. Inappropriate behavior by inmate or visitor will result in the termination of the visit and possible suspension of visitation privileges. L. Visits with inmates on lockdown/ isolation status will be Non-contact only. Visitors under 17 years of age will be allowed in the non-contact visitation area only under the supervision of an adult. Any inmate found guilty of contraband for possession of drugs and /or who has tested positive on a drug screen or refused to be tested will visit non-contact for six-months. Any inmate who has tested positive on an alcohol screen will visit non-contact for six months. Re-instatement of contact visiting will be determined by a review board. M. No smoking will be allowed while in the visitation area. N. Inmates/Visitors my consume items purchased from the
vending machines while in the visitation area, however, Inmates are not
allowed to purchase these items themselves. O. In order to be allowed to visit, our rules and procedures must be followed. Failure to adhere to our rules may result in suspension of visiting privileges. All visitors at Union Parish Detention Center are subject to search while on institutional grounds. Any persons who transport contraband onto or inside Union Parish Detention Center may be referred to the Union Parish Sheriff's Office for prosecution in District Court. Contraband includes but is not limited to any substance or device defined in the Uniform Controlled Dangerous substance Law; any weapons or ammunition; explosives or combustibles; any plans for escape from the institution; intoxicating beverages (La RS. 14:402).
